For this, the 100th post on the blog, I wanted to put up something special. Finally, I decided on this.
It is a photograph of my mother, an amazing woman. It is shot on instant film. It is the very essence of photography and embodies so many things I love about this medium.
The object itself, here reproduced as a less-than-exact reproduction, is simply luminous. Stunning to behold. The depth of the blacks and the gentle tones are glorious. The colours are simply wonderful. It is an original, a unique item. It is beautiful.
