This is Damon.
Damon ran a shop called Entropy. It was a beautiful shop filled with the most wonderful delights of art and design. I was lucky enough to be one of the artists whose work was sold there.
After many years, Damon decided to close the store. Last week was the last week of trading. In those last couple of weeks, 6 of my prints sold. This makes me both happy and sad. It's a bitter-sweet way to end a wonderful relationship.
It marks an end, but also - as I told Damon - I hope a new beginning. A man with such taste should not be allowed to stop selecting and selling beautiful objects. I for one will badger him to open a new store or at least move it online.
So here's to Entropy and Damon and Marlene (who used to run it with him) and people all over the world who love and believe in art and design and take those hard steps to set up stores and sell other people's wares for the pure love of sharing the joy of great craftsmanship.
