The Olympus Trip 35 is a great little camera. This one probably came out circa 1975 (I keep forgetting to check under the plate inside the film cover - more eager to reload with film than to know i guess...) and it's going strong. A cult following and awesome images on Flickr just make you want to go out and click away with this baby.

In fact, this has become my replacement for my Sony W110 digitap compact (which my sister took to London with her). I want a G11 or maybe a LX3 or maybe even a micro 4/3 job. I just don't want to actually go out and pay for one of those. And this thing has a 'perfect' 40mm 2.8 Zuiko lens that just sings... So, aside from the cost of film and developing (and the unknown of other people controlling how the final image turns out - what can I say I'm a photoshop nutter...) it's a bargain.

This puppy fits in my jean pocket - yes it's a little snug but i like em a little baggy. Even with the stylish neck-strap and me looking like a tourist beamed out of 1975, this little wonder is so light I really never know it's there.

Except when I want to capture whatever is going on in front of me. Then I just lift it up and 'click' (so beautifully quiet) and I'm happy.

I love my Trip.
